    Graduate Future Leaders Scholarship

    At the University of Hartford, we are committed to fostering learning, personal growth, and the betterment of society. The Future Leaders Scholarship honors graduate students who exemplify excellence and embody our University's core values of integrity, curiosity, creativity, and responsibility. This award celebrates the meaningful contributions that students make to their academic communities—both on campus and in their future careers.

    We believe our graduate students are pivotal in advancing knowledge and addressing the challenges of a complex, evolving world. As future leaders and professionals, our students play an essential role in cultivating an inclusive, dynamic, and engaged academic environment.

    The Graduate Future Leaders Award recognizes the important role students play in shaping our community and advancing the University's mission. This $2,000 scholarship is renewable for one year.

    We are currently accepting scholarship applications from graduate students accepted to the Spring, Summer, or Fall 2025 entry terms. All accepted graduate students are welcome to apply.

    Scholarship awardees must enroll in their program of interest to receive the scholarship. Scholarship deferral requests will not be honored. Please note this Graduate Future Leaders Scholarship cannot be combined with the Hawk Alumni Scholarship.

    The Graduate Future Leaders Statement is a 1000-word short essay that should describe how you will contribute to your field of study as a graduate student at the University of Hartford. Reflect on your previous academic, co-curricular, and professional experiences and explain how they have shaped your approach to your work. Discuss how you plan to apply these experiences to foster a culture of excellence, creativity, and responsibility within our academic community. Highlight specific projects, research, or activities you plan to pursue that will have a positive and lasting impact on both the campus community and society. Consider how your work will engage with a wide range of ideas, promote respect for others, and align with our values of civility and community. Explore how your future endeavors will play a vital role in your professional practice and enable you to contribute to a complex and ever-changing world.
